Trimming the strawberries is necessary to allow new foliage for over wintering. The dead leaves should be removed and the bed cleaned up to prepare for another harvest next year. Find us at…

Strawery k ped jaldi kharab ho jate hai dekhbhal k bad bhi
wow
I live in northern Illinois…..first year planted one strawberry plant…..its sept 22 2017 and there is a small harvest from the mother plant……it also produced about 20 daughter plants from runners which have already been detached from mother plant. Do I also prune the leaves off of the small daughter plants….they are small and of course have not produced any flowers nor strawberries. Also read that strawberries should be mulched…..have already gathered a giant box of pine needles and will wait until probably Thanksgiving or so to mulch depending on weather which I have read if you do too soon you can smother. Do you still mulch if you prune all the way back as you have done? And the instructions that I have read is that you cover with about 5 inches of mulch…. does that sound right to you? Should it get extremely cold in the dead of January which sometimes it does for a few weeks in northern Illinois should I also cover with one of those plant blankets…if so Should I do so only at night or even if temps are 10 degrees or below during the day…keep in mind I do plan to mulch the 5 inches…if you agree it is a good idea.
And I also planted a raspberry plant. Does the same apply to it.
Thank you so much. I have at least 20 daughter plants from the one strawberry plant (most actually are from other daughters) ….next year I will cut most of the runners if not all – depending on if I find another area or make the existing one bigger. But I am amazed at how prolific a plant can be….life does want to BE! Makes me hopeful that man too will figure out how to live abundantly.
not very instructional
I didn't cut my strawberries back at the end of last season. Its very early spring here with no new growth yet. I'm wondering if I should cut them back now?
If you have left over frozen strawberries please occasionally defrost some and leave them out for the animals over winter
I'm a new subscriber I like your videos they're great, but I'm finding I have to turn them up all the way to the top volume of 60, and the volume is still too low. on all the videos I've seen of yours except one. which was a normal volume like all the others on YouTube.
I don't know if it's caused by how it's uploaded or what quality or a setting in my computer or what? is there a way you can give me some information so I can keep on being a subscriber? Thank you!
